Valuation of solar power projects

1. Solar energy

Solar energy is the energy of the stream of electromagnetic radiation coming from the sun, plus a small part of the energy of other atomic particles that are absorbed by the Cell panels and generate electricity. Solar energy provides an infinite source of energy, does not produce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and especially has no cost when used.

2. Solar power price appraisal method

Depending on the time, information, legal documents, economic and technical characteristics of the project, the appraiser will offer an appropriate valuation method. Currently, there are two basic methods:

• Discounted cash flow method: Is a valuation method that determines the value of the appraised asset on the basis of converting the expected future cash flows from the asset to the present value through the use of an appropriate discount rate. The discounted cash flow method belongs to the income approach.
• Cost method: A method of determining the value of an appraised asset through the cost of creating an asset that has the same or similar functions and uses as the appraised asset and its wear and tear. valuation products.
